In this former post station, filled with the memories of ancient days and rich in cultural tradition, we give you a hearty welcome.

"For the solace and necessity of travelers and the sick ..." a tavern was built in the year 1789 in Kandersteg in the order of the high people of Bern.
The Landtsvenner Ryter was entrusted with the "management" of the new inn and gave it its name.
Today, the RITTER appears as a cozy guest house with restaurant, ski bar and 12 authentically furnished chalet-style rooms with modern comfort.

HOTEL VICTORIA

Because of increased tourism in 1895 the hotel RITTER was extended with the VICTORIA part and designed by architects from Berlin and Interlaken.
The natural environment and the pre-country blend with the interior of the building . The comfortable hotel lounge and light dining room offer direct access to the green of the park and give an impression of that time period. Edwardian and and Victorian style harmonize perfectly.
With the construction of the Lötschberg railway, more and more guests arrived to Kandersteg and the VICTORIA was developed in two further stages to the present hotel.
