ARRIVAL BY CAR

Coming from the north, take the motorway from Basel (A2) or from Zurich (A1) or from Geneva (A1) to Berne. From Bern take the motorway A6 to Thun and Spiez. In Spiez, exit in direction of Kandersteg. After another 24 km on the main road through the Kander valley you reach your destination Kandersteg. Travel time from Basel and Zurich, approximately 2 hours and from Bern just under 1 hour.

If you travel from south drive over the Simplon Pass or take the Simplon car-train to Brig and then the road to Visp. Approx. 10 km after Visp you turn in the direction of Goppenstein and take the Lötschberg car-train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg. Direct car-trains from Iselle (Italy) to Kandersteg run from March to October on weekends and at Easter, Ascension, Pentecost and Christmas. Reservation required!
