The Hotel / Our Values

About the Hotel
The Belle Epoque Hotel Victoria is a historic hotel in the heart of Kandersteg. It consists of two parts, each with its own unique story:

Hotel Ritter: Built in 1789 as the first mule tavern, it was later modernized and is now part of our unique hotel complex.

Victoria Wing: Constructed between 1895 and 1914, this section reflects the elegant style of the Belle Epoque era.

Since December 1989, the hotel has been managed by Muriel and Casimir Platzer. We are passionate about preserving the historic charm of the property while providing modern comforts for our guests.

The hotel offers a wide range of facilities:

Rooms: 60 rooms, including Chalet double rooms, Standard and Comfort double rooms, mini-suites, and family rooms.

Holiday Apartments: 12 exclusive apartments in the Victoria Alpine Park, ideal for families or longer stays.

Dining: Art Nouveau dining hall, à la carte Restaurant Ritter, and Victoria Lounge Bar.

Leisure Areas: Indoor pool, sauna, children's playground, and hotel park.

Event Spaces: Lounge, concert hall, and conference rooms.
