Work Processes and Code of Conduct
Working Hours and Breaks
Working hours and breaks must be strictly observed.
Employees are expected to start work punctually and ready to work. It is assumed that employees arrive at work having already eaten; separate breakfast or similar breaks are not provided.
Smoking breaks are only permitted during the designated breaks (e.g. meal breaks). Additional breaks outside the scheduled times are generally not permitted and may result in corresponding deductions from working time.
Changes to the work schedule may only be made after consultation with a supervisor.
Code of Conduct
Friendliness: A polite and respectful interaction with guests and colleagues is our top priority. A smile and a positive attitude are essential to your daily appearance.
Handling Guest Complaints
You are empowered to actively find solutions for guest complaints. Do not hesitate to diffuse dissatisfaction in simple ways, such as offering a coffee, dessert, or similar gestures.
If a problem cannot be resolved or you are unsure, inform a supervisor immediately. They will support you in finding a solution.
It is important that supervisors are informed about all incidents to prevent similar issues in the future.
Team Spirit, Collaboration, and Feedback
Supporting colleagues is a key part of our work. A positive working atmosphere is created through mutual helpfulness and clear communication.
Changes to the daily routine or unexpected issues should be discussed directly with your supervisor.
Your ideas or suggestions for improving work processes are always welcome. Together, we can develop solutions to make the workday more efficient.
Responsibility and Materials
Careful handling: Work equipment, machines and materials such as dishes, cutlery and furniture must be handled with due care.
Operating Machines:
Machines must be operated properly.
If you are unsure how to operate a machine, inform a supervisor immediately. They will ensure you receive appropriate training.
Reporting Damages:
Any breakage or damage to materials, as well as defective equipment, must be reported to supervisors immediately. This ensures timely repairs and smooth workflows.
In the event of intentional or grossly negligent damage, as well as repeated carelessness leading to damage (e.g. to dishes or glasses), the resulting costs may, within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, be charged to the employee and, where appropriate, deducted from their salary.
Lost Items
Items found in the hotel must be handed over to the reception. Please provide the location and date of the find.
Phone Usage
Phones may only be used during free time or breaks.
During working hours, mobile phones should only be used for internal messages related to work.
Discipline and Punctuality
Punctuality is a must.
Tardiness:
On the second occurrence, a verbal warning will be issued.
Repeated tardiness will result in a written warning or, in extreme cases, termination.
End of Work: If all tasks are completed, you may leave your workplace early after discussing it with a supervisor. The early departure must be documented and noted accordingly.
Compliance with Regulations:
If glasses or dishes are taken to staff rooms, they must be cleaned and returned promptly after use.
Access to storage rooms, sales areas, or the wine cellar is strictly reserved for authorized personnel.
